Jackals Sign Forward Evan Haney

ELMIRA, NY  - The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that they have signed rookie forward Evan Haney to a Standard Player Contract.

Haney, 24, joins the Jackals for the second time in his professional career. This season, Haney skated in 28 games with the Quad City Mallards and posted seven points (one goal, six assists) with 12 penalty minutes. Last season, the Sainte-Marthe, Quebec native signed an amateur tryout with the Jackals and appeared in one contest following the conclusion of his collegiate career. The 6-foot-2 205-pound forward served as team captain in each of the last two seasons at Hamilton College (NCAA III) and was an alternate captain in his second season. In 86 career NCAA III games, Haney recorded 32 points (15 goals, 17 assists) and 124 penalty minutes.
