ELMIRA, NY-
The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres
and the AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that they will hold
their tenth annual Pro Placement Camp from August 21-23, 2015.
The Pro Placement Camp provides an opportunity for at least three players to earn a spot in the Jackals' main training camp leading up to the 2015-16 ECHL season. Last season, the Jackals invited a record-setting five players from the Pro Placement Camp to the team's main training camp. Coaches and scouts from other professional teams and leagues will be invited to evaluate and scout players for the upcoming season.
To sign up for the Jackals Pro Placement Camp, interested players can download the registration form or call the Jackals office at 607-733-0000 and ask for Assistant General Manager of Hockey Operations Jared Abbott. Limited spots are open for forwards, defensemen, and goaltenders. Registration is open now until August 7, 2015. Any applications received after August 7th will not be accepted.
Past participants in the Jackals Pro Placement Camp have gone on to play in the ECHL, Southern Professional Hockey League, and Federal Hockey League.
All Pro Placement Camp sessions will take place at First Arena and are free for the public to attend.
