Jackals Return Home To Host Toledo

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, return home from their four-game road trip to host the Toledo Walleye in the third of five meetings this season.

Tonight the Jackals return home from a four-game road trip to host the Toledo Walleye for the third of five meetings this season and the third of four at First Arena. In the last meeting, Taylor Stefishen and Mike Bergin each notched a goal and an assist to lead the Jackals offensive effort. Thomas Nesbitt recorded the game-winning goal and Travis Fullerton turned aside 38 of 40 shots to propel the Jackals past the Walleye, 3-2 on February 7th. In the first meeting of the season, Steven Shamanski and Ryan Rashid scored, but the Jackals were out-paced by Toledo's red-hot power play, 6-2. The Walleye scored the first four goals of the game on the man advantage. These two teams only met once last season and the Jackals came out victorious, 4-2, on February 1st, 2014. This year will mark the first time that Elmira will host Toledo for more than two games in a single season. Elmira is 10-7-2 all-time against Toledo.
