Jackals Open Four-Game Road Trip in Wheeling

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, open their four-game road trip with a visit to WesBanco Arena to take on the Wheeling Nailers.

Tonight, the Jackals travel to Wheeling, West Virginia to face the Nailers for the sixth of 13 meetings and the fourth of seven at WesBanco Arena. Wheeling has not been a friendly destination for the Jackals this season, who enter Friday's game with a 0-2-1 mark this season at WesBanco Arena. In the last meeting, Mike Seidel scored his team-leading 15th goal of the season, but Josh Archibald recorded two goals and paced the Nailers past the Jackals 3-1. In the previous two matchups at WesBanco Arena, the Jackals held two-goal leads, but saw them evaporate in the third period. The last time the Jackals defeated the Nailers on the road was December 12th, 2013. The pack scored four unanswered goals to open the game and cruised to a 5-2 victory. Elmira holds a 38-28-9 all-time record against Wheeling.
