ELMIRA, NY -
The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres
and AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that forward Matt Tassone has been loaned to the Binghamton Senators.
Tassone, 25, heads to the AHL for his third stint this season. In
three games with Rochester this season, the 6-foot-2 210-pound forward
has recorded one goal and seven penalty minutes. Tassone has registered a
career-high 15 goals and 28 points in just 29 games with the Jackals
this season. In 155 career ECHL games with Elmira, Las Vegas, Ontario
and Idaho, the St. Albert, Alberta native has collected 92 points (44
goals, 48 assists). Tassone has also appeared in 13 AHL
games with the Lake Erie Monsters and 14 CHL games with the Arizona
Sundogs and the Wichita Thunder.
Prior to turning pro, Tassone
played 187 games with the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey
League. He recorded 73 goals, 46 assists and 343 penalty minutes in four
seasons with the Broncos. Tassone was drafted by the Dallas Stars with the 176th overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
