Reid Recieves Second AHL Call-Up Before Returning To Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that forward Brodie Reid has been returned from his loan to the St. John's IceCaps of the Americans Hockey League. However, before Reid was able to reach Elmira he was loaned to the Adirondack Flames of the AHL. Additionally, veteran forward Paul McIlveen has been suspended by the team after signing in Europe.

Reid, 25, was held scoreless in one game with the IceCaps. The Delta, BC native recorded four points (one goal, three assists) in five games with the Jackals. Reid spent the last three seasons with the Worcester Sharks, the AHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks. The 6-foot-1 195-pound forward posted double-digit goals in each of his three seasons with the Sharks and totaled 71 points (31 goals, 40 assists) in 155 AHL games with Worcester.

McIlveen, 28, has been suspended by the Jackals after he signed a contract to play in Europe. He recorded three points (two goals, one assist) in seven games with Elmira this season. Last season McIlveen skated for the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League and recorded 44 points (16 goals, 28 assists) in 45 games. McIlveen notched 193 points (81 goals, 115 assists) in 255 ECHL games split between the South Carolina Stingrays, Greenville Road Warriors, Cincinnati Cyclones, Utah Grizzlies and the Elmira Jackals. The Waterloo, ON native also spent a season in Germany split between Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg of the top German league (DEL) and EHC Freiburg of the Germany2 league. McIlveen logged 21 points (14 goals, seven assists) in 44 combined games between the two teams.
