Irwin Recalled To Rochester

ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that forward Brayden Irwin has been recalled by the Rochester Americans.

Irwin, 27, is tied for the league-lead with 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 10 games for the Jackals. Last season, the Toronto, Ontario native appeared in 45 games for Rochester and recorded 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists) and 21 penalty minutes. Irwin also played in five AHL games for Utica and 21 ECHL games with Stockton and Greenville during the 2013-14 season. The 6-foot-5 225-pound forward has tallied 44 points (15 goals, 29 assists) and 78 penalty minutes in 116 career AHL games with Toronto, Norfolk, Utica and Rochester. In 106 career ECHL games with Reading, Florida, Stockton, Greenville and Elmira, Irwin has notched 100 points (48 goals, 52 assists) and 106 penalty minutes. Irwin also played in two NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2009-10 season.

Additionally, the Elmira Jackals announced that forward Lucas Bloodoff has been placed on the 21-day IR retroactive to November 1. The 6-foot-2 225-pound forward has recorded two points (one goal, one assist) and 14 penalty minutes in six games with the Jackals.
