WHEN: 7:05 p.m.
The Jackals are facing the Nailers tonight for the fifth of fifteen meetings this season and second of eight at First Arena. The Jackals are 0-4-0 against the Nailers this year after getting swept in a three-in-three series from November 14-16. The Jackals look to swing the season series in their favor on home ice tonight where they have historically dominated Wheeling. The Jackals are 22-7-2 in their ECHL history at home against the Nailers which includes a 4-1-0 mark from last year. The Jackals and Nailers have gotten used to playing nailbiters this season because three of the four prior meetings have been decided by a single goal. Wheeling enters play tonight as the hottest team in the ECHL with a 6-0-1 record in its last seven.

The Buffalo Sabres, who are without an ECHL affiliate, have strengthened the Jackals' lineup by reassigning rookie forward Colin Jacobs to Elmira from AHL Rochester. Jacobs has one assist through 13 games for the Americans, but he has some serious offensive upside. Jacobs was the top scorer for the WHL's Prince George Cougars last year with 53 points (25G, 28A) in 66 games. He also showed his grit with 98 penalty minutes which placed him second on the club. Jacobs played 11 games with Rochester on an ATO last year and had three points (1G, 2A).
