Tonight, the Jackals begin their final lengthy road trip with a visit to Fort Wayne, Indiana for the third and final meeting of the season, and the second of two at the Memorial Coliseum. Last Wednesday, the Jackals hosted the Komets for the lone matchup at First Arena this year, but were out-done by Fort Wayne's high-flying offense in a 7-3 defeat. Taylor Stefishen, Mike Seidel and Steven Shamanski scored for the Jackals, but they were unable to overcome Fort Wayne's five-goal first period. The last time these two teams met at the Memorial Coliseum occurred on January 30th, 2015. The Komets scored early, but the Jackals battled back and received goals from Zach Tolkinen and Mike Seidel to pull ahead of Fort Wayne. Sam Marotta shut the door and turned aside 22 of 23 shots faced for the victory. Last season, the Jackals and Komets faced off seven times and Elmira earned five wins. The Jackals are 8-4-0 all-time against Fort Wayne.
