ELMIRA, NY- The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, would like to congratulate former Jackal, and current Ottawa Senators forward, Mike Hoffman for scoring the game-winning goal in last night's 1-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Hoffman, 25, appeared in four games for the Jackals during the 2010-2011 season and, in his time with Elmira, the Kitchener, Ontario native recorded three assists and six shots on goal. Hoffman's third period tally last night was his first career Stanley Cup Playoff goal. This season, the 6-foot 185-pound forward registered a career-year with the Senators, posting 27 goals and 48 points in 79 games. In 354 professional games split between Elmira, Binghamton and Ottawa, Hoffman has collected 226 points (101 goals, 125 assists).
