Pesky Pack Opens March Slate At Santander Arena

READING, PA - The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, opens their March schedule in Reading against the East Division rival Royals.

Tonight, the Jackals pay visit to Santander Arena for the 13th of 15 meetings this season, and the seventh of eight at Reading. In their previous meeting, on Valentine's Day, the Jackals received no love from their East Division rival and fell 7-3, setting a new season-high in goals allowed. The last meeting at Santander Arena occurred on January 19th. Thomas Nesbitt gave the Jackals an early lead, but they eventually fell 4-2 in the Monday matinee affair. In the previous two meetings at First Arena, the Jackals earned three out of a possible four points with a decisive 4-2 win on January 16th and a 4-3 shootout loss the next night. In the Jackals' last win at Reading, Sam Marotta earned his first professional shutout with 25 saves as the Jackals stormed past the Royals 4-0. Elmira is 49-48-12 all-time against Reading.
