Tonight the Jackals host the Toledo Walleye for the fourth of five meetings this season and the fourth and final meeting at First Arena. These two Eastern Conference foes met last Friday at First Arena and put on an exciting show for the home crowd. The Jackals clawed their way back into the contest with goals from Lucas Bloodoff and Mike Seidel, but their furious push for the equalizer fell one goal short despite firing 21 shots on goal in the third period. The previous meeting resulted in the same score, but the opposite outcome with the Jackals coming out on top. Taylor Stefishen and Mike Bergin each notched a goal and an assist to lead the Jackals offensive effort. Thomas Nesbitt recorded the game-winning goal and Travis Fullerton turned aside 38 of 40 shots to propel the Jackals past the Walleye, 3-2 on February 7th. These two teams only met once last season and the Jackals came out victorious, 4-2, on February 1st, 2014. This year will mark the first time that Elmira will host Toledo for more than two games in a single season. Elmira is 10-8-2 all-time against Toledo.
