ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, visit Orlando to kick-off their mid-week three-in-three in the Sunshine State.
WHO: Elmira Jackals - Buffalo/NHL & Rochester/AHL (12-7-3) at Orlando Solar Bears - Toronto/NHL & Toronto/AHL (11-10-2)

WHAT: Jackals Away Game #8.

WHEN: 7:00 p.m. EST

WHERE: Amway Center - 8701 Maitland Summit Blvd. Orlando, FL 32810

The Jackals face the Orlando Solar Bears tonight for the first of two meetings this season, with both matchups coming this week at the Amway Center. The Jackals and Solar Bears have met just five times previously and Elmira holds the one game advantage, 3-2-0. Last season these two foes played twice with each team winning once. The last meeting resulted in a 5-1 Jackals victory on April 4, 2014. Five different Jackals scored, including current Elmira forward Ryan Rashid who registered a goal and an assist. Fellow Jackals forward Colin Jacobs added two assists in the April 4th meeting. This season the new-look Jackals and the Solar Bears are in the same division, which provides additional importance to the two meetings.
Elmira has gotten out of the blocks quickly in games this season and has found success from its fast starts. The Jackals are 9-2-2 when scoring first this season.
