Jackals Announce 2014 Pro Placement Camp

Do you think you have what it takes to play for the Elmira Jackals?

The Elmira Jackals announced today that they will hold their Ninth-Annual Pro Placement Camp from August 22 to August 24, 2014.

"We are very excited for this year's Pro Placement Camp," said Jackals owner and president Nate Cook. "We expect to have a strong turnout of competitive players and are looking forward to seeing which ones have what it takes to earn an invitation to our main training camp."

The Pro Placement Camp provides an opportunity for three players to earn a spot in the Jackals' main training camp leading up to the 2014-15 ECHL season. Coaches and scouts from other professional teams and leagues will also be on hand to evaluate and scout players for the upcoming season.

To sign up for the Jackals Pro Placement Camp, interested players can download the registration form or call the Jackals office at 607-734-7825 and ask for camp administrator Jared Abbott. Limited spots are open for forwards, defensemen, and goaltenders. Registration is open now until August 8, 2014. Any applications received after August 8 will not be accepted.

Past participants in the Jackals Pro Placement Camp have gone on to play in the ECHL, Central Hockey League, Southern Professional Hockey League, and Federal Hockey League.

All Pro Placement Camp sessions will take place at the First Arena Recreational Rink and are free for the public to attend.
