ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Elmira Jackals announced today that special jerseys that were worn on April 4 and 5, 2014 in support of Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund are on sale right now. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these jerseys will be donated back to JDRF.
The jerseys were designed in white with a light blue trim which are the signature colors of JDRF, and they sport the Jackals logo along with the JDRF logo on the chest and shoulders. Jackals players wore them during warmups for the final two home games of the season in honor of the 10th annual Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund tournament that was held at First Arena on Saturday, April 5. Last year the tournament raised nearly $6,000 for JDRF and the Jackals are looking to help that number break $10,000 with the sale of these jerseys.
The jerseys, along with a pair of matching hockey socks, are on sale for $300. They can be purchased in person at the Jackals team store inside First Arena between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or by calling the Jackals at 607-734-7825. For those interested in buying their jersey in person please visit the Jackals main office by using the Main Street entrance and a team representative will take you to the team store. For those interested in placing their order by phone please have a valid Visa or Mastercard ready to provide at time of purchase. Shipping costs will be included for any phone orders placed that require delivery of jerseys.
