Elmira Jakals Game Preview

ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Elmira Jackals and Kalamazoo Wings face off in the second of three games in as many days tonight at First Arena with a 7:05 p.m. start. 

WHO: Elmira Jackals - Ottawa and New Jersey/NHL & Binghamton and Albany/AHL (3-8-1) vs. Kalamazoo Wings - Saint Louis and Vancouver/NHL & Chicago and Utica/AHL (5-4-1).

WHAT: Jackals Home Game #5. Join us for a giant "Save Monterey Shock" rally. Anyone wearing orange "Save Monterey" t-shirts gets a special $10 discounted ticket. WHEN: 7:05 p.m.

The Jackals are facing the Wings tonight for the second of six meetings this season and second of five at First Arena. After last nights 6-5 overtime loss the Jackals are 6-9-6 against the Wings with a 3-6-5 record at home. Tonight's match up will feature two of the leagues top goal scorers in the ECHL. Third year Jackal Artem Demkov is third with nine in just eleven games while Kalamzoo's Eric Kattelus has tallied seven in ten games for tenth place. 

 

The Jackals' busiest month of the season is starting to wrap up with only four games left in November with three being played at home after back-to-back-to-back three-in-threes. The lone away game is a division tilt against Reading on November 27, 2013. So far this season the Jackals are 1-2-1 at home. The Jackals are tied with Toledo for the fewest home games played (4) thus far this season.
